This diploma thesis is devoted to the temporal representation of the development of tourism between the Czech Republic and Russian Federation. Firstly, the thesis explains key concepts of the study of tourism. It lists factors influencing international tourism which are divided into two categories: internal and external. The thesis also provides a short chapter describing the impact of COVID - 19 on the tourism industry. It examines the development of tourism between Czechoslovakia and the USSR, and also tourism between countries nowadays. This work describes the development of arrivals of Russian tourists to the Czech Republic and Czech tourists to Russia. It also states which places tourists from both countries prefer for recreation.
Current position of tourism in the global economy

The diploma thesis deals with the current position of tourism in the global economy. The work focuses on the regional layout of international tourism in terms of international arrivals, international tourism receipts and international tourism expenses. An emphasis is also put on the economic importance of tourism, mainly in relation to GDP, employment, price stability and balance of payment. The thesis is also focused on current issues in the field of international tourism - shared economy, China as the largest source market of international tourism, exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union and sustainable tourism development. The conclusion outlines the expected development of international tourism and its prospective changes in its layout by 2030 according to the data of the World Tourism Organization.
Vietnam as a tourist destination in the international tourism market

The diploma thesis deals with Vietnam's position in the international tourism market. The main aim of the thesis is to better understand Vietnam's tourism interdependence, the development of the economy, which will be evaluated on the basis of key indicators analysis and analyze the position of the country in the current tourism market at the same time. This will help us to assess future trends at Vietnam tourist market. The first part deals with the general characteristics of tourism, the basic notions of tourism and economy. In the second part are mentioned basic information about the country and the economic analysis of the state are mentioned in the second part . The last chapter is dedicated to tourism in Vietnam, its position in this market and an estimation of future developments. All outcomes of this thesis are summarized in the SWOT analysis.
The impact of the migration crisis on international tourism

This diploma thesis deals with two current phenomena, migration and terrorism. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate tourism in the territory of the European Union in the last two years when faces the migration crisis in comparison with the previous years. The tourism development of selected member states is analyzed by incoming, outbound and domestic tourism statistics, as well as its participation in GDP and total employment in the countries. The theoretical part defines the key concepts of migration, terrorism and international tourism. The practical part identifies the impacts of the current migration crisis and the new trends that are now emerging. The thesis also contains recommendations to destinations on how to approach the crisis and prediction of future development.

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the position of Switzerland in the international tourism market. The first chapter of the thesis contains the basic terms and definitions in the area of international tourism. The second chapter deals with general information about Switzerland and the analysis of current economic situation, as well as the competitiveness in the global economy. Third chapter is focused on Swiss tourism, especially its factors of development, its position in Swiss economy, and its competitiveness. The last chapter contains the evaluation of position of Switzerland in the international tourism market and also the comparison of this position with the main competitor.
Portugal as a tourist destination

The main aim of this thesis is to characterize Portugal as a tourism destination, as well as to analyze the current situation of the tourism industry in this destination, and to try to outline the possible options for future development. The partial aims of the thesis, that should help to achieve the main goal, are: the description of economic development of Portugal in a past few years, the analysis of the offer of the tourism products in the destination, the demarcation of the position of tourism industry in Portuguese economy and last but not least the desciption of current tourism policy in the country. This thesis uses especially electronic sources, that are available online. These are mainly annual reports, statistics and research papers. The thesis then also uses literature, which is relevant to the topic of the thesis. After brief introduction at the beginning, the thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter has a theoretical character and contains the definitions of specialized terms of economic field as well as of tourism industry field. The second chapter provides basic information and facts about Portugal. The third chapter is dedicated to political and economic characterization of Portugal. The last chapter is about tourism in destination Portugal, about its current situation, as well as about its possible development in the future. The thesis then ends with a conclusion, that summarize the whole work.
The position of Austria in the international tourism market

Diploma thesis focuses on the position of Austria as a tourism destination on the international tourism market. First chapter defines the basic theoretical terms. Second chapter includes the elemental characteristics of the territory, presents the macroeconomic indicators and the position of tourism in the national economy. Third chapter introduces the tourism analysis of Austria. This chapter summarizes the main preconditions for tourism and the analysis of incoming, outgoing and domestic tourism. The end of this chapter contains also the destination's SWOT analysis. Fourth chapter focuses on the country's competitiveness in comparison to the Alpine states and bases on the rankings and results in the TTCI and GCI indexes. Fifth chapter takes a closer look at the destination's potential for Czech customers. This chapter is based on a questionnaire survey. Last chapter contains the summaries of main Austrian tourism trends, evaluates tourism position in the economy and based on regression analysis presents the prediction of destination's tourism turnout by foreign visitors.
Sri Lanka - Economy and Position in the International Tourism Market

This diploma thesis deals with the economy and the position of Sri Lanka in the international tourism market. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the performance of Sri Lankan economy and the country's position in the international tourism market. The thesis also concentrates on assessing the competitiveness of both the economy and the tourism industry. The development of the country is analyzed since the end of the civil war. The first chapter theoretically defines key concepts related to the issue of international tourism. The second chapter deals with the economy of Sri Lanka. Firstly, the structure of economy is introduced. Secondly, macroeconomic indicators and international trade are assessed and thirdly, the competitiveness of Sri Lankan economy is analyzed. The third chapter deals with tourism in Sri Lanka. After the presentation of tourism preconditions, the economic characteristics of the sector and of its impact on the national economy follow. The organizational structure and the tourism competitiveness are evaluated afterwards. Finally, SWOT analysis of the tourism industry in Sri Lanka is conducted.
New Zealand as a destination of international tourism

The theme of this diploma thesis is the tourism of New Zealand and its impact on the economy of the state. The subject matter of the research is New Zealand as a destination of international tourism. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze and evaluate position of destination New Zealand in the international tourism market. The partial aim is, for example, the description of New Zealand's economic situation and impact of tourism industry on the economy of the state, the characteristics of the New Zealand conditions of tourism development, the analysis of incoming tourism and the assessment of the competitiveness of destination New Zealand in international comparison. The findings are summarized in the SWOT analysis, which shows country's great potential for growth in the international tourism market. The end of the work is focused on the New Zealand tourism policy and on the forecasts of future developments in this area.
Turkey as a destination of international tourism

The subject matter of my research is Turkey as a destination of international tourism. The main aim of my diploma thesis is to assess the overall standing of Turkey as a destination on the international tourism market with respect to both positive and negative externalities. The first chapter is dedicated to a theoretical definition of international tourism including the conditions of its development. The second chapter presents basic information on Turkey, current economic situation and effects of tourism on Turkish economy. In the last chapter, an international comparison is made to analyse Turkish tourism itself.
